About

The Central Baptist Association is made up of an assembly of churches through out the East Coast. The Association formed in 1956 as a result of the question of providing a home for homeless and destitute children and being more progressive than the Eastern District Association of Primitive Baptist. Currently, in the Association, there are 23 member churches.

We believe, doctrinally, in the infallibility of the Old Testament and New Testament scriptures as recorded in the King James translation of the 1611 to be the written and revealed Word of God and are the only rules of faith and practice.

We believe in the total depravity of man, that he was unable to redeem himself from the fallen state he was in. Therefore, Jesus the Saviour is necessary for man’s redemption. The Gospel is the only means God has ordained by which sinners are brought to Christ.

We believe that Baptism is by immersion of the whole body in the water in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Ghost, and believers are the only fit subjects for Baptism.

We believe that the Saints will persevere through grace and never fall away.

We believe that the church is the light of the world. That God chooses, calls, and qualifies those whom He would have to preach the Gospel.

We believe in a restricted communion confined to the church in fellowship walking Gospel order, the Lord’s Supper, and feet-washing given at the same time in a orderly manner by seating the men in one place and the women in another as may be convenient.

We believe in a resurrection of the dead both of the just and the unjust.

We believe the punishment of the wicked is everlasting and the joys of the righteous are eternal.

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.

We believe that God created as we were to be and no changes made by man which include transgender, gender fluid and all gender altering procedures.

The work of the Association includes the building of a fellowship of churches to provide, first for a general union of churches; second, the preserve inviolable a chain or communion among the churches; third, to give the churches all necessary advice and help in matters of church difficulty l, so far as this is possible by peaceful methods: assisting churches in a Sunday School program for all ages, weekly prayer meetings, worship services, a monthly business meeting, an active youth program, Bible teaching, evangelistic and missionary work, visitation program, aiding established churches in organizing new churches and related projects; also support a home for adults and a children’s home, youth camp, and Bible camp for all ages.
